Love and Tahoe

We decided at the last minute to take the tram up Heavenly. Something I did several times as a child. You know, before the bubonic plague warnings. I would sit and feed the chipmunks who would come take peanuts out of my hand and I thought I could stay there forever, in this magical place. It has been probably close to 2 decades since I’d been up there and I didn’t recognize it. Like, at all. The lake was down at the bottom but nothing else was the same. It made me a little sad. But I was there with my man and I’d just overcome an ENORMOUS fear of heights to get there so it had to be documented. In fact, there may or may not exist some video of me, on my knees in the gondola, hands over the seats, head between my arms screaming ‘I can’t believe we paid $60 to DIE!’. Yeah.

And while we were up there, it started lightly snowing! It was amazing! We got warm sun and fun on the water the day before and then snow and an incredible view… I couldn’t have asked for more. This photo was as always one in a series of camera phone photos… you know, those phones where you never know when you’re taking a photo? This is as good as it got, lol.
